Michael K. Quartey is a co-founder and partner of Mettle-Nunoo, Quartey, and Partners PRUC.

He is an LLD candidate at the University of Johannesburg (South Africa) and holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Cape Coast and a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law from the University of Johannesburg.

Michael is a trained advocate and legal professional with comprehensive knowledge of both national and international legal matters. His key competencies cover a broad spectrum of legal matters including contract drafting and negotiation, providing exceptional legal advice and representation in Civil and Criminal Appeals in the Superior Courts in Ghana, as well as representing clients in international and local arbitration proceedings.

He prioritizes securing clients’ business interests and has used his skills in arbitration, representing clients at the International Chamber of Commerce and locally at the Ghana Arbitration Center. He has also assisted international clients in protecting their intellectual property rights.

Michael is a highly proficient professional in drafting commercial contracts and negotiations. He has been instrumental in assisting clients in safeguarding their business interests through expertly drafting and negotiating contracts. He has assisted clients in acquiring properties in Ghana and served a company’s contractual needs in setting up a manufacturing company in Ghana.

Michael has a unique understanding of the civil and criminal appeal process in Ghana due to his service as a legal researcher at the Judicial Service and aids in lecturing in the special training program for police prosecutors at the Ghana School of Law.

Michael served his pupillage at Ankoma Mensah & Associates and became an Associate of the firm.

He has worked in the team that undertook debt recovery for various financial and non-bank financial institutions.

He is a proud member in good standing with the Ghana Bar Association.

Michael has been a Legal Advisor to many reputable organizations including Management Development and Productivity Institute (MDPI), a government institution; Black Buffalo International/Ghana, a cosmetic manufacturing company with its parent company in the United States of America; Initiative Development Ghana, a financial institution in Ghana; and GP Petroleum in Ghana with the parent company in the UAE, engaged in lubricant manufacturing and other petroleum products.
